     The Society of Aging and Physical Activity (SAPA) publish guidelines and scientific statements on exercise training in aging topics to improve life quality in aging. The SAPA volunteer scientists and physical activity professionals write the statements. The statements are supported by scientific studies published in recognized journals and have a rigorous review and approval process. Scientific statements generally include a review of data available on a specific subject, an evaluation on its relationship to overall aging and physical activity sciences, and often an SAPA position on the basis of that evaluation.
     The Society of Aging and Physical Activity (SAPA) is also dedicated to providing evidence-based recommendations setting the standards for the exercise training and physical activity in aging as guidelines. This manuals give succinct summaries of recommended procedures for exercise training and exercise prescription in healthy and diseased older adults. We continually develop new guidelines and update existing guidelines to reflect evolving exercise training science and meet the needs of practicing trainer and certification candidate.
